Apple has identified a security flaw in its macOS operating system. The issue is an improper authentication vulnerability, meaning the system fails to properly verify that a person trying to access a specific feature has valid, authorized login credentials.
This flaw impacts the built-in Screen Sharing feature on macOS. An attacker who is connected to the same local network as a device running the affected macOS version can access the device's Screen Sharing function without needing to provide a correct username or password.
