Apple has disclosed a security flaw in its macOS operating system. The issue stems from a weakness in how the system verifies user identities when someone tries to use the built-in Screen Sharing feature.
This vulnerability could allow an attacker connected to the same network as your macOS device to access Screen Sharing without entering a valid username or password. If you use a Mac to manage your hosted website, access sensitive hosting account information, or run any services on a macOS system, this could let unauthorized users view your screen, access files on the device, or make unapproved changes to your system or settings.
