Apple has found a security flaw in its macOS operating system that affects how the system checks login credentials for the built-in Screen Sharing feature. This flaw means an attacker who is connected to the same network as a macOS device can access the device’s Screen Sharing function without entering a valid username and password, bypassing normal authentication requirements. If you operate a macOS device or server on your network for web hosting, service management, or other tasks, this vulnerability could allow unauthorized network users to access your screen sharing functionality without proper authorization.
